In November, I'll be voting for Obama. Tonight's powerful speech sealed the deal.
All week, I have been thinking about what Obama would say tonight, how he would convince America that he is the man for the job, despite his lack of experience. I'm still not exactly sure what it was that lured me into the heart of his camp -- maybe it was the way he proved that he would fight for struggling Americans, or his explanation of what it is that makes America great, or his lofty (yet believable) goals for the next 10 years -- but whatever it was caused me to truly believe that he should be our next president. Is he perfect? No. Is he the most qualified? Probably not. But does he have the ability, intellect, and passion to make a difference? Yes. Most definitely, yes.
As one commentator stated, Obama's speech was "epic yet accessible." I fully agree, and I commend him for giving what was most likely one of the greatest speeches my generation has ever heard. And what a night for it -- the 45th anniversary of the delivery of Martin Luther King, Jr.'s "I Have a Dream Speech." I couldn't help but think of how proud he would be -- and how he would feel that his dream is truly being fulfilled.

After reading your blog, I'm still not sure as to why your voting for him - other than he's eloquent and black? Personally, I feel like I'm choosing between the lesser of two evils, but if I have to give the job of America's CEO to someone, it's going to be someone with a decent resume. All I see from Obama is a bunch of empty rhetoric. Feel free to try and persuade me otherwise - like I said, I'm not particularly inclined to vote for either candidate.
