i wish i had a photo of me lying in the street in four inches of water,

but i don't.

in the middle of a torrential downpour,

i attempted to leap across a five-foot-wide river

that was rushing down my friend's street.

seriously, it was intense, and i was already soaked.

i went for it, but something went terribly wrong,

and i ended up sprawled in front of my car, water all around me,

and all through my clothes,

while my friend laughed hysterically, doubled over on her porch.

it was really funny.

i've fallen a lot in my life.

a lot.

i'd rate this one as a solid nine.

pretty epic.

i went home and changed, then headed to katie herzig's show.

it was a perfect ending to a rather imperfect day.

katie's songs make me want to put on a pretty dress,

run through a meadow full of daisies,

and occasionally pause to spend a few moments

crying over unrequited love.

and she has an all-girl band.
