Last Wednesday, I celebrated my 27th birthday. We had a nice, laid-back, peaceful little picnic in our yard under a beautiful full moon. Several friends stopped by -- some old, some brand new. It was great to simply hang out with friends and to be reminded of how many amazing people I have in my life. I'm very thankful for each of them and am excited to be starting this 27th year of my life, walking alongside them.
Here are some photos from the day:
The nice people at work bought me a cake, decorated my desk, and did NOT sing to me (a very good thing). For having to be in the office on my birthday, it was actually pretty fun.
Shauna baked me a cake. Garrett and Aubrey brought laughter and good discussion about music!
Rusty and "blue-eyed Jesus" (as Garrett refers to Donnie) came to the party as well, and provided entertaining stories by candlelight in the yard.Aubrea brought the music -- not just any music, but the new Coldplay album, which we had attempted to purchase at midnight on the previous Monday. Our plans were thwarted by that evil corporate giant, Walmart and their silly procedures. But hearing the album on my birthday was just as nice. :) Also, Aubrea stayed with me and made my birthday feel not so much like a Wednesday night, but a fun Saturday night, when you can stay up ridiculously late, giggling in bed before you go to sleep.

Actually, Mandy (and I hope this doesn't make you cry since you completed your birthday successfully), you have now entered your 28th year of life. Don't worry, though; I'm about to complete my 30th year of life and embark upon my 31st!
