steve & hannah's wedding weekend

Last Thursday I had the privilege of flying from the snowy mountains Colorado to the sizzling desert of Arizona for my friend Steve's wedding. A huge added bonus was the opportunity to hang out with a lot of my best friends from college, whom I haven't seen in quite some time.

We all flew in on Thursday evening and spent the next few days with our kind and gracious hosts, Monica (friend from college) and her new husband Josh. Monica is six months pregnant, so it was fun to meet little Abby (in the womb) for the first time! Samira, Shauna, and I slept in Abby's cute room-to-be!

I'll admit, the entire weekend was quite surreal. Monica is married, has a house, and is pregnant! Matt is married with a baby! And now Steve is married too! Randomly throughout the weekend, one of us would suddenly exclaim, "Monica has a husband!" or "Steve's getting married!" Sometimes it seems just like yesterday that we were all hanging out in our apartment in college. Life moves so quickly.

It was my first time to Arizona, so I was completely intrigued with the desert and all that it has to offer . . . mostly dirt and cacti. Though I don't think I would want to live there (way too brown and hot), I really enjoyed it and found it to be quite beautiful.

Steve and Hannah's wedding took place on Saturday evening at a dude ranch in Tuscon. It was a gorgeous ceremony, to say the least. Steve cried when Hannah walked down the aisle. I love when grooms cry. :) It was just so obvious that they are deeply in love. Though I just met Hannah the day before the wedding, I can tell that Steve made a wise decision. They are blessed to have found each other.

A few days before I left, I bought a new digital camera, so I had fun testing it out in Arizona. Here are a few of the photos! (For more, click here.)
