I am supposed to be editing, but in order to procrastinate as much as possible, I've decided instead to let the world know what's going on in my life. Since the last time I wrote, not much has changed.
However, this weekend was really fun. Aubrea and I headed down to Denver for the Artwalk. Basically, on this one block in LoDo, all the galleries open up their doors, and let everyone trapse through. We both felt very artsy and very inspired . . . inspired to do what, I don't know. We'll see. :)
On Saturday, Tara and I went out for lunch at the Global Chili Company, which is becoming one of my favorite little places to eat at in Boulder. It kind of reminds me of Yats in Indy . . . except it's chili and not gumbo . . . and wordly not cajun. Also, the photos on the walls are interesting. :) Afterwards, we went to Amante, a cute, swanky coffee place on Walnut. Yum. They actually make shapes with the foam on top of lattes. It's quite impressive.
On Sunday, we had what I'm pretty sure is our biggest turnout yet . . . maybe 50! So exciting! And my friend Katie came to church with me, which was so great. We went out for lunch afterwards and had a great talk about life, direction, God, community, etc. And then later that night, we went over to the Stroessler's for a fabulous spaghetti dinner and spent some time yelling numbers at each other . . . we were playing PIT. :)
And that, my friends, is the update. I wish I had some deep thoughts to share . . . nothing is really coming to mind. Well, Amy Garrington did share some thoughts about the fruit of the spirit with me yesterday that has had me thinking all day . . . just how they really can't be developed if you're not in community. So true. Just trying to think about if I've been allowing that to happen in this community. Something to think about.
Well, I should get back to my editing. Oh, and the picture is of my friends Julie and Natalie. They're so cute!
Oh, and I was reminded of this quote as I looked at my friend Erin's site today . . . I love it . . . definitely describes how I feel:
"The only people that interest me are the mad ones, the ones who are mad to live, mad to talk, desirous of everything at the same time, the ones that never yearn or say a commonplace thing . . . but burn, burn, burn like roman candles across the night." --Jack Kerouac
