So certain friends have told me that they've actually stopped checking my blog to see if I've updated it because, well, I haven't in a long time. In response to these unfaithful friends (just kidding), I've decided to write a little something. But because I'm very, very tired, and I really should be sleeping or working instead of writing this, it will be brief.
Just a few things going on with me:
Boulder is beautiful right now. I still miss the gorgeous array of colors displayed on the trees in southern Ohio at this time of year, but Colorado has done a pretty good job of matching it . . . not as many colors, but I'm okay with having less colors and more mountains.
Tonight was Halloween . . . I found it difficult to distinguish between normal attire and costumes on Pearl St. tonight. And I overheard a couple talking about today being their anniversary. Who gets married on Halloween? Weird.
I have an amazing new friend named Aubrea! Yay! We've been hanging out a lot, and I'm really convinced that God has blessed me with her friendship during this season of my life. We have a lot in common, and I mean a lot . . . she stays up late with me, likes the same music. has the same lamp and mismatched shade that I bought in college, her last name also ends in a "ford." The similarities are endless. haha Okay, so those are some of the silly ones, but we really do have a lot in common, and she's just fabulous. Yay for new friends!
I really feel like God has been teaching me a lot lately about how I view myself in light of Him. Maybe more on that later . . .
Oh, and this is very exciting: Lots of college friends are flying in for New Year's! Yay!
And I'm going home for Christmas for TEN days! Can't wait to see my friends and family--especially Corbin and Claira.
A lot more has been going on, but I think that's all I'll list for now. More blogs and pictures coming soon . . . promise . . .
I kind of hate ending this blog like this, so I think I'll post a little poem that I created using some magnetic poetry words the other night:
together they risk
entertaining magic nights
though morning rain
lies beneath its beauty
I know it's tempting, but don't try to analyze it. Just words . . . :)
