more on pogo sticks
Today was a tragic day in the life of all of us (spectators and participants) who enjoy the pogo stick. The Flybar (the pogo stick) was brought to church this morning to be used as an illustration during worship. Of course, after church was over, several people decided to jump on it, including my roommate, Tara. Sadly, after several skilled jumps, the Flybar slipped out from under Tara, causing her to fall, but not before the handlebar hit her in the face. Immediately following the accident, Tara seemed fine--just a little beat up; however, minutes later, she passed out. After a few minutes of unconciousness, we decided to call the ambulance. By that time, she was waking up, but still a little dazed. After about an hour of being at the hospital, Andy and I went back to see her, and she seemed fine. The doctors did a CAT scan, and the results were clear. Tara's doing fine, but she's got some good bruises. It's not often that you get to go to the hospital due to a pogo stick injury . . . she's definitely got a good story to tell now. :)
