much more alice

Tonight, I finally saw Alice in Wonderland. It's been quite the long wait. I think I smiled throughout the entire movie--even the scary, gross parts. Visually, it was ridiculous. In a good way. After seeing the Tim Burton exhibit at the MOMA a few weeks ago, I was especially excited to see what he had in store for us. What a magical, twisted mind he has! He's a genius, and so is Johnny Depp. Every bit of the movie impressed and delighted me--especially Anne Hathaway's gagging. Hilarious.

Favorite lines:

"You used to be much muchier before. Yes, you were much more Alice the last time we met. You have lost your muchness." -- Mad Hatter

"Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast." -- Alice

"Have I gone mad?" -- Mad Hatter
"I'm afraid so. You're entirely bonkers. But I'll tell you a secret. All the best people are." -- Alice

Oh, and I've become obsessed with Alice's red dress. If i were more brave, more ambitious, or much more, um, muchy, i would attempt to make it -- perhaps for a halloween costume. You can never think too far in advance for such things. Or maybe I'll have a tea party. Yes, that's what I'll do. And we'll have scones. Yum.

Tomorrow's goal: Try to believe as many as six impossible things before breakfast.

An Alice tea party, brilliant.

I've heard her costumes throughout are wonderful. I expect to see a lot of replicas at Comic-Con this year.

I can't wait to see it. Waiting until 3/20 though so we can see it at Disney's theater in Hollywood. They have lots of props on display.

Maybe I can see it twice though. :D

Oh, fun!

I think you should see it twice. Visually, there's so much to take in! :)
