march weekends: songs, frozen dead guys, staycations, etc.

The last two weekends have been busy--but so fun!

Here's a brief overview:

Several years ago, a friend and I came to a bit of an understanding: I make cookies, he writes songs -- really amazing songs. Lucky me; I got to see him play two weekends in a row, which is a rare treat these days.

In a small mountain town just above Boulder, they have a festival to celebrate a frozen dead guy. Weird, right? Well, some friends and I took the bus up the canyon to join in on the fun. While there, we witnessed a polar plunge, a coffin race, and a lot of beer-drinking.

And then there was an Oscars party.
(None of the photos were really worth posting.)

Last weekend, I spend a day or so in Fort Collins with my friend Annie. We listened to music, explored the town, and visited a brewery.

All these fun events are making me crave summer even more!
