My old employer, Gap, is running an interesting campaign called "Vote For," challenging people to think about what it is exactly they're voting for on November 4th.Oh, and they're selling a t-shirt. :)
After clicking on the link provided in my e-mail this morning and watching a few of the videos (Norman Lear's was my favorite), I started thinking about which word(s) I would use to fill in that blank.
Still thinking, but I thought I'd pose the same question to you.
What are you voting for? Leave a comment, and let me know.

One word "STABILITY". Stability in the economy, gas prices, our reputation to other countries in the world, government, our relationship with Iraq, and most important----the job market. MOM
Vote for Sloan. My daughter. I don't want her to grow up in a country full of fear and uncertainty. There's enough of that in life as it is.
Yeah, I'm glad that I voted for a president that would allow my grandchildren to live and not be aborted. I don't know how everyone is looking over the fact that Obama would allow the murder of children and not allow for the medical treatment of babies that are partially born. I guess if you can sleep well on those notes, vote for Obabma.
Dad
Well, Uncle Tim, I hate to disagree with you, but do you think that being pro-life refers only to abortion? What about the thousands of people in the military who have lost their lives for the futile battle we're fighting in Iraq? I consider myself "pro-life" as well, but I can't limit my endorsement of a candidate to one issue anymore. I think that's why I voted for Bush last time...and what a mistake that turned out to be. Don't tell Granddad, but I'll be voting for Obama (actually, I really don't care if he knows).
I have recently become friends with a man from Iraq and he would seriously disagree that the war in Iraq is futile. I would like for you to hear him speak of the thousands of innocent Iraqi women and children that were murdered and tell him that it is a futile venture that we are partaking in. I hate the war as much as anyone, but I believe it is the right thing to do.
Tim
I can endorse Obama and sleep well having done so because I've researched the facts. I encourage everyone to do so as well. Check out this website, which quotes him verbatim concerning the abortion issue: http://www.ontheissues.org/Social/Barack_Obama_Abortion.htm
Do I agree with him on all points? No. Do I agree with John McCain on all points? No. But I do believe that overall, Barack's plan for the nations will decrease abortions -- even more so than John McCain's.
Also, it is absolutely not true that Barack Obama supports allowing babies die that survive late-term abortions. He even stated so in the last debate when questioned about that.
But again, I encourage you to read the facts. I'm not interested in starting a debate about abortion, but I just think it's important to know the truth about the candidates' positions instead of believing the negative ads that are being thrown around on television.
