Admittedly, I feel slightly guilty about what I am about to reveal: The last 72 hours or so of my life have been, well, a bit utopian (not completely--but close).
For the past few days, I have been enjoying the most perfect weather ever. The skies have been blue, the sun has been shining, and the temperature has been in the mid to upper seventies.
On Tuesday I hung out with my friend Julie. We went grocery shopping, ate a pizza, and watched a movie. She's fabulous, and I always have a lot of fun with her. :)
Yesterday I took a blanket to the park that is across the street from my condo and I took a nap in between reading magazines and Plan B by Anne Lamott, all the while attempting to replace my white skin with tan (however, it did end up pink). And I did this for three hours.
Before that, as well as this morning, I hung out with precious children along with my fun teacher friends at the preschool--and for a great deal of the time, we were outside. And today I took my camera to work and took photos of them while they hunted for eggs and played outside.
Also, this morning, a boy wrote down his number and told me to call him sometime. Unfortunately, he's three years old, and I couldn't read the four digits (yes, only four) that he wrote down on the paper. But it did make me laugh.
I did have to work a little today, but I love the people I work with, so that makes it fun. And after work, I had dinner with Cara and her baby boy (still inside her), which was fabulous. And then I came home and watched several more episodes of Alias. I'm determined to finish season four this week. I love watching it, but at the same time, I'd like to finish it so I can have some time to do other enjoyable activities.
And now, here I am. I'm up late, paying bills . . . wondering if the good times are coming to an end. Well, I was wondering that until I made a discovery just a few minutes ago: Ben Harper accepted my proposal of friendship on my space. We are officially friends. Life doesn't get much better.
