still trying to catch up . . .

Ever feel like you just can't catch up with your own life? Yeah . . . I've definitely been feeling that way for about the last three months. It just won't slow down. Even at this very moment, I should be working on a project, but I'm taking a break to write a little blog (it's been awhile . . . sorry). Also, I was snacking on some tortilla chips and guacamole, followed by some honey darjeeling tea, followed by a horrific taste in my mouth (the two don't mix well), so I'm attempting to remove it by eating some vanilla almond granola, which is actually Aubrea and Melissa's (sorry girls!).

By the way, I would like to publicly congratulate my friends Aubrea and Melissa for winning--I mean, completing--the Moab Half-Marathon. You girls are amazing!

Anyway, so here is my blog . . . hmm . . . not sure what to write, actually . . . well, to answer Nathanael's question: The big project that I was working on for so long was for a teen devotional Bible called Revolve. (You may have seen the Revolve Biblezines) I was given the opportunity to write devotionals for nine books of the Bible. Very fun! And now I'm editing a few other projects for two publishers--also fun stuff. :)

In other news . . . okay, well, there really isn't any. Still working at the preschool and the gap. :) Both great jobs--especially the preschool. The girls I work with are fabulous and the kids are too! They definitely make me laugh, which is often difficult to do any time before noon.

Oh, and I've officially been in Boulder for a year now. Crazy. No deep thoughts on that at the moment . . . coming soon. :)

Umm . . . been on a concert kick lately. Saw David Gray last week, and I'll be seeing Ben Harper at the end of next week.

Samira came this past weekend, and we went to Denver to see dead bodies. Yeah, that's right--dead bodies. It's called BodyWorld2. I'm not really sure I can explain it without causing all of you to think I'm a creepy, messed-up person, but I'll try . . . Basically, this German doctor/scientist/creepy guy discovered a technique, using plastic, to preserve human bodies. It's called plastination. None of the bodies have skin on, so you can see their organs, muscles, bones, etc., which is actually very cool. I was sure I was going to pass out or throw up, but, I didn't. It was actually very educational and made me appreciate God's design for our bodies even more. Seriously, it's amazing. To see what I'm talking about, go to www.bodyworlds.com It will make more sense on the web site. :)

Also, Samira and I watched some Alias and had some good talks at Illegal Pete's. She's fabulous. :)

On Sunday I watched Elizabethtown with antoher fabulous friend of mine, Julie. Such a great movie! Julie and I had been planning to watch it for a very long time, so finally, our dream came true. :) The movie was followed by a birthday party for Anton, which was followed by dinner at the Smiths . . . which was followed by a great talk with the half-marathon champion, Aubrea. :) So Sunday was a great day. :)

Alright, well, a lot of other things have been happening . . . but I'm going to stop writing at this point. I really need to keep up with this thing so I don't have to write such long, random entries. Oh well.

Until next time . . .
