Well, I think that's how that old Garth Brooks song went . . .

Anyway, can't write much, but I just wanted to let everyone know that I'll be leaving in the morning (6 a.m. to be exact) for Louisiana. My good friend, Andy and I are going down to help with the relief effort. We really have no idea what we'll be doing at this point, but we do know we'll be working with the Pastors Resource Council, a Christian organization based out of Baton Rouge.

I'd love to write a lot, but we're leaving in about 8 hours, and I still have to pack (and sleep). :) I would just ask that you would all pray for the people in the south, as well as us as we serve them. Having never lost everything, I can't even begin to imagine the turmoil they are going through. We believe that God truly does draw near to the brokenhearted and that He comforts the afflicted. And we believe that He often accomplishes this through His church. So please pray that we effectively communicate the love of God and that we serve these people with a supernatural strength.
